4 - Random Animal Facts

There are many weird and beautiful animals in our world. They are all so full of wonder.Life without them would just be... boring. They put a spark in our life and bring us joy (or sometimes fear). Today, I made a list of random facts you may or may have not known about these animals.

Here are 12 facts you might need to know

1. Dogs have over 1,700 tastebuds.



2. Velociraptors have feathers.

A study suggests that most dinosaurs had feathers. "They found clear indications of quill knobs on the bone (places where the quills of secondary feathers, the flight or wing feathers of modern birds, were anchored to the bone with ligaments)" Amnh.com said.

3. Black Leopards have spots.

Some black leopards have visible spots and some don't. You can only see their nonvisible spots through infrared camera.

4. Jorunna Parva is a type of slug that looks like a bunny.

5. Shark attacks have fallen since 1950.

Good news!


6. Nautilus is a living fossil.

Amazing!


7. Axolotl can regrown missing limbs.

Yes, these cute creatures can regenarate


8. Blue dragons feed on poisonous creatures.

This sea slug is a shell-less gastropod mollusk


9. Bats were trained to drop bombs in World War II.

Yes they were taught to drop bombs. 


10. Flamingos can only eat when their head is upside down.

11. Crocodiles have brains no larger than a cigar.

Even though they are the most intelligent and largest living reptiles,
their brains are only a size of a cigar.


12. Jellyfishes evaporate in the sun.

They evaporate because they are 98% water.
